De son vrai nom Qaw’mane Wilson, le jeune rappeur américain Young QC a été condamné à 99 ans de prison par un tribunal de Chicago (Illinois) pour avoir fait assassiner sa mère, raconte le Chicago Sun-Times. L’auteur du meurtre, Eugene Spencer, a pour sa part écopé de 100 ans de réclusion criminelle.
Les faits remontent à 2012, lorsque Eugene Spencer et la petite amie de Young QC se rendent à l’appartement de Yolanda Holmes. Alors que la mère du rappeur est dans son lit, Spencer sort une arme et lui tire dessus. S’ensuit une bagarre avec le compagnon de la victime, que Spencer met KO. Après un appel avec Qaw’mane Wilson, qui lui dit de «s’assurer que cette garce est bien morte», Eugene Spencer retourne dans l’appartement. Cette fois, il poignarde Yolanda Holmes.

Débarrassé de sa mère, Young QC fait main basse sur l’argent dormant sur ses comptes, somme qu’il utilise notamment pour customiser sa Ford Mustang. Une voiture que lui avait offerte Yolanda Holmes.
