La Direction du commerce intérieur (DCI) a annoncé vendredi qu’un retour à la stabilité de l’offre de certaines denrées de première nécessité comme le riz d’origine indienne et l’huile de palme en format 20 litres, est attendu dans les prochains jours.

La Direction du commerce intérieur rappelle que « des tensions sont notées, depuis quelques temps sur les segments de marché de l’huile et du riz non parfumé liées à un rétrécissement de l’offre importée de riz d’origine indienne et d’huile de palme en format de 20 litres, combiné à une variation de prix ».
« La forte baisse des approvisionnements pour ces deux produits précités représentant chacun plus de 70% du marché, a impacté les niveaux de prix avec le basculement de la demande vers des produits de substitution de qualité et de prix supérieurs (riz pakistanais, riz brésilien, huiles d’arachide, huile de tournesol, huile de soja », explique-t-elle.
La DCI déclare que ses « agents restent mobiliser pour assurer une surveillance permanente du marché et faire face à toute velléité de spéculation injustifiée ».
Elle assure avoir pris des » dispositions », en rapport avec les riziers, huiliers, importateurs de riz et d’huile « pour un prompt rétablissement de l’offre de ces deux produits’.
De même, elle fait savoir que « les stocks de riz et d’huiles raffinées présents actuellement sur le marché couvrent correctement les besoins du marché ».
