Ce Samedi 08 février 2020 fut le premier anniversaire de l’intronisation du 55ème roi du Sine en l’occurrence Niokhobaye Diouf né le 31 décembre 1954 à Diakhao de Linguère Fatou Diène Mbacké Thiouthie et de Amadiouf Teigne Maasinig Sem Omack. Cette pérennisation du royaume du Sine est venue après 50 ans durant lequel le siège du roi était vacant depuis la fin du règne de Mahecore Diouf (54ème roi) qui a régné de 1924 à 1969.
Cet événement de très grande envergure a vu la présence de beaucoup d’autorités administratives, coutumières et religieuses. Parmi ceux qui étaient présents on peut citer le ministre Matar Ba, le ministre Moise Sarr, l’ex ministre Mbagnick Ndiaye, le gouverneur de la région de Fatick, le préfet de Fatick, presque tous les maires de la région de Fatick, tous les chefs de village avec à leur tête le président de leur association. Parmi les invités d’honneur il y avait le roi d’Oussouye, le Maad Gandiaye, le Maad Patar.
En ce qui concerne le folklore, Diakhao a écouté presque toutes les couleurs musicales et culturelles ce samedi de 10h du matin jusque tard dans la soirée. Parmi les artistes il y avait Simon Sene, Semou Gning, Ndeye Faye et sa troupe, et tant d’autres venus d’ici et d’ailleurs.
Pour les allocutions, l’audience a écouté la représentante du maire de Diakhao Salma Dicko qui a ouvert la science, ensuite le représentant des chefs de village, après le professeur Pape Massene Sene a fait un brillant exposé sur les rôles de la cour royal (le roi et ses conseillers) et a bien réparti les tâches de chacun ; le ministre Matar Ba a fait un discours avant ceux successivement du représentant du roi d’Oussouye et de Maad Gandiaye ; enfin le Maa Sining Niokhobaye Diouf a bouclé les prises de parole.
Après cela, place maintenant au folklore qui a continué jusque tard dans la soirée.
