Coronavirus: le président chinois remercie Macky Sall

Le président chinois, Xi Jinping, a adressé mercredi ses ‘’remerciements’’ à son homologue sénégalais, Macky Sall, pour sa ‘’solidarité’’ envers la Chine à la suite de l’épidémie de coronavirus, a annoncé la RTS.

‘’Je tiens à vous exprimer mes sincères remerciements pour votre lettre de félicitations à l’occasion du Nouvel An chinois et pour votre message de solidarité au moment où la Chine combat l’épidémie de pneumonie associée au nouveau coronavirus’’, a écrit le dirigeant chinois dans une lettre adressée à M. Sall, selon la télévision publique sénégalaise.

‘’A l’heure actuelle, le peuple chinois se mobilise pour combattre l’épidémie de pneumonie liée au nouveau coronavirus’’, assure Xi Jinping dans le texte dont la RTS a donné lecture dans son journal en français de mercredi soir.

Selon son président, la Chine a fait preuve d’‘’une confiance et d’une solidarité renforcées’’ en prenant des mesures de prévention et de contrôle du coronavirus.

‘’L’Etat chinois communique à temps, à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur du pays, les informations relatives à l’épidémie et renforce la coopération avec la communauté internationale’’, a assuré son dirigeant.

Le coronavirus a fait au moins 493 morts, et 24.692 personnes ont été identifiées comme ayant contracté le virus depuis son apparition en décembre en Chine, selon les autorités chinoises.

Plus de 20 pays ont confirmé des cas d’infection par le coronavirus.
