62 700 kg de drogue saisis dans les régions centre en 2019

Les saisies de drogue effectuées par les douanes sénégalaises dans les régions de Fatick, Kaolack, Kaffrine et Diourbel, a atteint un 6,270 tonnes, un « record » selon la direction générale centre des services douaniers qui évalue ce total à 2 milliards 172 millions de francs CFA.

« Les quantités saisies de drogue comme le chanvre indien ou encore la métamphétamine, sont à 6,270 tonnes. Il s’agit là d’une saisie record, pour une valeur totale estimée à 2 milliards 172 millions de francs CFA », a dit le lieutenant-colonel Papa Faye, chef du bureau des douanes de Keur Ayib (Kaolack).

Il s’exprimait lundi lors de la cérémonie officielle régionale de l’édition 2020 de la Journée internationale de la douane, célébrée à Fatick.

« Pour les saisies de faux médicaments, a-t-il poursuivi, la valeur totale est estimée à 1 milliard 758 millions de francs CFA. Ce qui fait une valeur totale des saisies de faux médicaments et de drogue estimée à 3 milliards 930 millions francs CFA soit près de 4 milliards de francs CFA en 2019 ».

« Ces saisies importantes opérées durant l’année 2019, entre dans l’action de lutte de la douane contre la fraude », a indiqué le lieutenant-colonel Papa Faye, en présence du gouverneur de la région de Fatick, Seynabou Guèye, et du colonel Ndèye Fatou Ndiaye, commandant de la subdivision des douanes de Fatick.

Au titre des recettes ordinaires et contentieuses, la direction régionale centre de la douane fait état d’un total cumulé de 9 milliards de francs CFA en 2019, contre 7 milliards 500 millions de francs CFA en 2018.
