1500 kg de faux médicaments et « yamba » brûlés

Quelque 1500 kg de faux médicaments et de chanvre indien d’une valeur de plus de 200 millions de francs CFA, ont été incinérés mardi à Tambacounda (est) par la direction régionale des Douanes, a constaté l’APS.

Cette cérémonie boucle la série d’activités tenue à Tambacounda dans la cadre de la célébration de la Journée internationale de la Douane.

Les saisies de faux médicaments et de chanvre indien ont été effectuées par la subdivision des douanes de Tambacounda, les postes de Kidira, Koumpentoum et de Moussala à Kédougou entre décembre 2019 et janvier 2020.

Le directeur général des Douanes, Abdourahmane Dièye, a indiqué que ces « saisies importantes traduisent un fort engagement des agents, mais aussi une forte volonté des autorités étatiques pour contrer ces fléaux ».

« Les actions de lutte menées contre ces trafics montre qu’effectivement, il y a une synergie d’actions pour combattre les stupéfiants et avoir les meilleurs résultats dans la région de Tambacounda », a-t-il magnifié.

Le colonel Georges Diémé, directeur régional de la zone Sud-Est a de son côté, invité les populations à jouer pleinement leur partition dans cette lutte contre le trafic de produits illicites.

« Ce n’est pas uniquement un combat des forces de sécurité et de défense, il faut que l’ensemble des acteurs, des populations donnent les bonnes informations aux forces de sécurité », a-t-il suggéré.

Selon lui, la position géographique des régions de Tambacounda et Kédougou n’est pas étrangère au trafic de drogue et de médicaments, soulignant que les autorités ne resteront pas les bras croisés.
